For those who are planning to go to the Northern Part of Cebu, you can also take the Sogod-Borbon-Tabogon Coastal Road instead of the mountain areas. Tabogon is a 3rd municipal income class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 39,013. In the 2016 electoral roll, it had 24,746 registered voters. It has n area of 39.13 square miles and belongs to the 4th district of Cebu.

The road going to Tabogon is a bit tricky. If you want to take the “easier way”, you should take the road going right when you reach the fork in Sogod, near the Sogod Chapel and a few meters after the Juan B. Dosado Memorial Hospital, if you are coming from the City. The Maslog Provincial Road leads to the Tabunok Garden View Resort then to Alegre Beach Resort and Spa, then all the way to the coastal area of Tabogon. This is where you see some of the relaxing sights in the island of Cebu. If you want a challenging road, with lots of potholes (as of writing), you can take the Ilihan Road. The mountainous areas in Labangon and Loong will offer you great sights of lush greens but the road is very bumpy specially during rainy season.

Below is the map of the coastal barangays of Tabogon. Here in the area, you will see picturesque view of the beaches.
